So tonight...
Don bought a pumpkin pie from Costco while he was getting a loaf of bread.
And it wasn't near as good as the one we made from a pumpkin.
I can't stand store pumpkin pie (and I LOVE pumpkin pie) canned pumpkin is better than those....never made one from a pumpkin, but have from butternut squash- but I guess it's not a pumpkin pie anymore then is it?
I bet it would be good though. I have thought many times about using delicata (my favorite) squash as a base for a 'squash' pie... that of course, would have all the same stuff as the pumpkin... just not the pumpkin. lol...
Let me know if you try it. That recipe is really a good one!
